Sherrie Shover is a social media editor for a trade publication in Newtown, CT. She has worked in many areas of media including editorial, event promotion and website management, and has a passion for digital marketing and sharing people’s stories. She has worked on the media team at the CrossFit Games East Regional in 2015 and 2016 and also at the CrossFit Games in 2015.
In addition to managing Yankee’s marketing, Sherrie also helps out coaching. She has a strong gymnastics background, competing in USAG for 11 years and then on her high school team until she graduated. A former gymnastics coach, Sherrie graduated from UCONN in 2007 and practiced yoga regularly before finding CrossFit in 2013. After falling in love with the sport, she eventually started to add more volume to her sessions and started training to compete in CrossFit.
To further enhance her CrossFit knowledge, Sherrie received her CrossFit Level 1 Trainer in 2015. She loves teaching people how to safely push their bodies to do things they never thought they could do. Sherrie lives in Plainville, CT, with her husband and three dogs, and is training on Yankee CrossFit’s competitive team. Her proudest CrossFit achievements include qualifying for Wodapalooza on a team in 2016 and being the alternate on Yankee CrossFit’s East Regional team in 2016.
